Berwald Roofing has a history of quality workmanship and top-notch service of over 80 years. Founded in 1936 by E.R. Berwald, the company primarily installed shingles and siding. In 1950, the company was incorporated to accommodate growing business. A solid reputation and satisfied repeat customers represented the growth of its early years, and allowed Berwald to expand its services to include hot tar roofs, sheet metal flashing, slate and clay tile. In 1954, E.R. Berwald brought his two sons, Gene and Ken, into the business, who remain active in the company today.

Berwald is one of the largest roofing, sheet metal, and wall panel companies in Minnesota. With the fourth generation now involved, we have remained a family-owned and operated company. While Berwald has added many services, including ornamental sheet metal, architectural panels, single-ply roofing, waterproofing, and a full maintenance program, they have retained a core set of values based on hard work, dependable service, and client satisfaction.
